Second Flush TeasThe Second Flush teas, also referred to as the Spring Flush, are harvested from May to mid July after the First Flush but before the heavy rains of the monsoon season. The Second Flush Darjeeling is characterized by its amber appearance and a slight fruity taste with strong muscatel flavour. Full bodied and bolder in flavour than the First Flush teas, they are milder than most black teas. The teas harvested during the monsoon months of July to September are generally clubbed along with this seasons teas and are characteristically the strongest of the years produce with a strong flavour and brightness.
