Darjeeling Teas

Darjeeling, fondly called "Queen of the Hills” was developed during the mid-19th century as a hill resort for summer retreat. Extensive tea plantations were also established in the region during the same time. Darjeeling Teas, grown in around 86 Tea Estates at altitudes ranging from 600 to 2000 metres within the Darjeeling region in India, are widely and universally acknowledged to be the finest, setting them apart and above from all other teas grown around the world. Fondly referred to as "Champagne of teas", Darjeeling teas are amongst the most expensive in the world due to their unique brightness, distinctive aroma, fragrance and muscatel quality.
