Golden Tips Tea
collaboration with Department
of Posts for "TEA POST"
The largest
post office network in the world
is going in for a major image
makeover. The dusty, dingy and
dim ambience of the local post
office is to be transformed into
a swank retail outlet, where the
customer can buy not just stamps
and postcards, but flowers, cakes
and even specialty teas.
The Department
of Posts is converting
the post office into a one-stop
shop for a host of customer-friendly
facilities. The “Tea
Post” as
it will be called, will obviously
brighten the tea scenario and
further popularise the “cup
that cheers” especially
among tourists and visitors to
North Bengal and Sikkim, where
this service is about to be introduced.
A comprehensive tea catalogue,
which would elaborate on the various
teas to be offered at the Tea
Post, is also on the anvil.
There is something about tea :
the name, the drink, the history,
the geography and the romance.
Tea is truly an egalitarian drink,
cutting across all barriers of
class, social strata, equally
at home in Buckingham Palace and
the humble earthen cup at the
roadside stall. Tea is now being
hailed as a health drink, according
to ongoing research all over the
world. Golden

and the Tea
Post collaboration
is another step in this direction.
