Vintage Assam, Second Flush -Picking June 2019 is my first full leaf Assam tea, that I purchased, after experiencing quite a few Darjeeling tea varieties. I have scaled down from the Darjeeling high mountains to the foothills of Himalayas to expand the tea palate and experience the difference in taste. I think I choose the right day to brew this, as unlike Darjeeling tea, this tea is strong, with a mellow taste and gives you a slight nudge to get active. One thing I learned from the previous brew of the same tea that I have to add fewer leaves per cup and steep it a little less to get a flavour that goes well without the milk. It is tasty, and I think I will try it as a cold-tea also.
Though if you are a fan of adding milk to your tea, you can steep this Assam tea a little longer to get the perfect taste with a dash of milk too.
